Looking forward to it, but yeah, I can see why people were complaining about it visually.

My fave movie of 2022 so far! I know none of us ONTDers get out of the house much, but ffs please go see this when it comes out.

ETA: Oscars for Sarah Polley and Jessie Buckley or else I riot.

Putting this question under a cut.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Are there graphic depictions of SA in this film?

[Spoiler (click to open)]No, there are no depictions of the abuse itself, but the aftermath is very briefly shown when some of the women wake up the day afterwards and find bruises on their bodies and blood on their sheets.

that color grading is a choice A film critic whose podcast I listen to compared it to a Zac Snyder flashback filter. This looks good but also super upsetting.

I had no idea Orion still existed.

"We've been preyed upon like animals, maybe we should respond like animals?" Yes! Fuck shit up!
I might watch this one, even though it looks really depressing (even down to the color grading-- OP, you are right to call it out).

It folded but then was resurrected.

Anything that mirrors the message of the Handmaid's Tale is okay by me.
