Damn, that really sucks to have to "correct" that. Why would the reviewer make that comment without confirming it was a fat suit to begin with because wow is it shitty to basically say Whoopi's body was distracting in such a way.

Speaking of fat suits, why does it seem they've come back into fashion for movie/tv roles?? Feels like we've had a sudden surge of them in recent years? Can't express enough how much I can't stand it.

Because people are nasty as fuck to fat people to their faces, and take delight in saying "Oops, you're fat" in as many subtle (and unsubtle) ways possible. It's like certain people can't help themselves.

It reminds me of when The Nutt Professor came out and everyone at the time raved about how amazing/funny it was. Granted, Eddie Murphy is a comedic genius but its just crazy how everyone praised it and you would think times have changed since the mid 1990s but nope.

Yeah, exactly. That's really poor and lazy writing/journalism without getting actual confirmation. This misinformation changes the whole critique (and most importantly - just a shitty thing to do).

One time I listened to a review of a movie and they kept talking about an actor wearing a terrible wig when it was his actual hair. I was so annoyed. He dyed his hair that color, respect himmm 😭
