#Blonde: “I think it was/ is a brilliant work of cinematic art obviously not for everyone. Surprising that in a post

(a friend who is a literary agent told me that he cannot even get editors to read first novels by young white male writers, no matter how good; they are just not interested. this is heartbreaking for writers who may, in fact, be brilliant, & critical of their own "privilege.") https://t.co/GmtVY8lbCV

It's cause it is. I watched it when it leaked.....trash on trash on trash. It's exploitative and voyeuristic of her life and journey.
I remember thinking when someone like Quentin Tarantino of all people gave Sharon Tate a decent characterization in OUATIH (which is historical fiction like Blonde) since all she's ever been portrayed as was a famous hollywood murder victim. I also thought David Lynch cause I did notice some slight Lynchian inspiration in it- but specifically Fire Walk With Me which deals with Laura Palmer's trauma and there it was handled well.
This movie on the other hand just stays in her trauma. Finding out the last scene was shot in the house she died in was the tip of the iceberg.
Ana's acting range from decent to wonky. Her accent kept slipping in alot. She did look like Marilyn a lot of her shots which was impressive. The black & white cinematography + score were the only good things about this movie....everything else
