ha! so the mcu is going to have two movies with black male leads. half of the fandom is seething.

in all seriousness i've seen so many video thumbnails on youtube how this is the end of the mcu! how to fix the mcu! what's wrong with the mcu? and it's all related to the fact that the movies and shows are no longer centered around white males. and like most white males (and white male apologists) they refuse to examine WHY that bothers them so much.

if ms marvel had been a teenage boy they would have sopped. that. shit. up! if she-hulk was instead about bruce's cousin jared they would have quickly and easily forgive it's missteps. the leeway give to white dudes is so far and above anything given to literally anyone else on this planet.

I’m down for this, I’ve always thought Don was the biggest movie star out of all the second string Avengers and it’d be nice to see more Rhodey considering 2.0 didn’t have that much to do other than run around after Tony

I have no real interest in this (or Marvel in general anymore really), but this might work out much better. They just can’t get the pacing of their shows right. Plus this will be more high-profile. So good for Don Cheadle

it's interesting that the switch seems to have happened very recently but i'm here for it. Rhodey has been a stable part of the universe and Don Cheadle always turns in grounded but very fun performances
