I can’t even behind to think about celebs talking about raising house prices.

I love Austin so much but i don’t know how I can afford it (or anywhere that isn’t the middle of nowhere.) I currently work 80 hours a week and don’t pay rent but thanks to health problems i still don’t have money. I can’t last much longer with two full time jobs i’m assuming i’ll have to move 30 minutes outside of the city when i move out of my very kind and generous friends place.

SA is getting expensive too. It's not as expensive as Austin but still.

I think it’s fine for her to share this petition, the issue deserves attention.

What makes me raise my eyebrows is the bit about a house to fit her kids. I have a feeling she has a different concept of what that means than the average American.

Yeah you can get a simple three bedroom house that would suffice but I'm sure her current house isn't that.

I'm going to ignore Grimes and just comment on the absolute crisis of affordability.

A coworker was just telling me about looking for an apartment and the prices are obscene. Rent was ridic when I moved in August and it seems like it's continued to skyrocket. This is totally unsustainable.

And how expensive was the house she was wanting to buy? If it was an average priced house in Houston yeah, that would suck but if she is complaining she couldn’t afford a multi million dollar house for her home I don’t have much sympathy.

Nothing to say about her, but it sucks that to live in a well populated, diverse city with amenities, things to do, and choices on where to spend your money, it costs an arm and a leg. If you want to live in Bumfuck Lynchville where you're the only person of color, you can get a 5 bedroom house for 400$ a month.

These days I feel like even Bumfuck wants to charge coastal prices.
