Don't understand any of her single choices for this album aside from Hold the Girl. Holy is definitely my favourite, the four track run of it-Your Age-Imagining-Frankenstein is just divine.
I feel like Holy through Frankenstein being perfect seems to be the thing that all of us listeners seem to be on the same page on. It's really hard to pick a favorite between those four songs. She really should just make one big short film including all four of those songs.
Her singles choices are appalling this go around. And I can't tell if it's the labels fault and the strategy is to try and get a hit with the more mainstream songs or if it was to make sure that the album still felt "worth it" after having so many singles... or if it's both at the same time. All I know is that now that the album is actually out, it's time for a more left of center song as a single.
Agree with everything about this comment - those four songs + "Hold the Girl" are the only ones I've added to my liked songs so far. But I do have to say, the other singles work much better in the context of the entire album rather than as, you know, singles.
LOL! Definitely not this, that's for sure. It's a hard question because my fav keeps bouncing between tracks 6-9. Right now, I think my fav is Imagining. Clarence put his whole foot into the production, love the early 2000s two step elements, love her vocals, it's just a magnificent song. BUT I think Frankenstein should be the next single. I LOVE the message of of Your Age and to speak like Rina would, Holy slays me. But yeah, for right now my pick is Imagining.
Hurricanes is one of my least favorite (it might actually be my least, it and Phantom) so I'm a bit grumbly that it's the next single...Why, girl? WHY?!?!
