A24 better be on their campaigning A-game. I’m really hopeful for Michelle Yeoh.

Would they give Cate Blanchett another one so soon after Blue Jasmine?

Right? All they’d have to do is put Michelle in an A24 hat (that parts for me) and have her speak about the movie on every show/channel
So that’s only $1,500 for the A24 hat

It's not really "so soon." Blue Jasmine was released 9 years ago and the industry for some reason reveres her.

Damn I didn’t realize it was nearly a decade 💀 feels like it was just yesterday she was avoiding questions about working with Woody Allen

The Woman King is sitting at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, most of the not fresh reviews are shockingly enough by white dudes who look the part. By all accounts it is an excellent film and it has a budget of about 50 million, which gives it some breathing room as far as what constitutes a box office success. I can’t wait to see it and have encouraged everyone to see it - at least twice!

ETA: That Blue Jasmine Oscar was almost 10 years ago - time flies!

Excited to see all of these except The Whale, which I have negative interest in seeing.

I couldn’t believe Kyle didn’t put Bones and All on this list considering how Venice embraced it and awarded it when it was a huge question mark going into the festival. Obviously it’s the opposite of Oscar bait, but is adapted screenplay out of the question?!? I’m interested to find out!

I feel like Stephanie Hsu is the longest shot for a nomination out of the main cast, but I truly hope she gets the recognition.
