"This is where @Netflix can flex its muscle. Show the Academy that it’s cool to embrace the comedy genre, and do so with an elevated pizzazz.

The #KnivesOut sequel already seems like a hit."

Oh good! I was worried the sequel would suck, considering how much I love Knives Out.

Same. I thought the formula would be hard to replicate and a lot of what made the film good was the actors, but I'm glad the reviews for this one seem to be good.

I'm guessing the netflix route is due the panini right? Cause other than it's surprising since the first one got a theatrical release and did really well a the box office.

Netflix didn't release the first one, they bought the rights and told Rian Johnson no to a theater release because they want those people who would see it in theaters to instead subscribe.

I’d assume it’ll get some sort of theatrical release! I was at one of the TIFF screenings and it was a lot of fun to watch with an audience.

it'll get a very limited run in a couple of theaters in la/nyc so it can be eligible for oscars

netflix already owns the paris theatre in nyc so i expect it'll play there for opening weekend
