I never got the comparisons, but they are both on the petite side with long red hair so it's kinda understandable - on closeups like this though, it's clear they look nothing alike.

It's because the names are so similar and humans don't actually read out whole words or names, just the first and last letters and the brain fills in the rest

I s2g I read her name as Halle Berry and clicked play on the little mermaid trailer and realized my mistake

I don't think people are necessarily mixing up pictures of them, but who knows

I think it's like hal-lie (as in hal rhymes with pal and gal) whereas Hal-ey (as in hal sounds like hail and rhymes with pale).
