I still can’t get over how Julian shot and killed a man and just got away with it. This family is full of murderers and abusers.

No, that was a separate incident. In 1955, Julian's friend came to celebrate Julian's birthday. While he was there, he reminded Julian that he (Julian) still owed him $400. Julian shot and killed him. His dad gave a lawyer $50k and it was implied that this money was used to get the police not to press charges.

The guy who gave Julian's fiancee a ride home was not killed, just threatened by him with a shotgun in 1977.
