Lol my brother saw it three times in the theater and probably watched it again now that it's on hbo max

We had to watch it yesterday at my brother's insistence, but I would watch it again because it is simultaneously dogshit and spectacular

Baz Luhrman's career trajectory has been insane. The higher the budget, the not-as-good as it is. Strictly Ballroom is still his best movie IMO. I checked if that was streaming, but only on like Pluto.

When I first went to Iceland, I accidentally went to the bar from the Secret Life of Walter Mitty which in the movie was in Greenland, but it was actually just a gift shop.

For reference, it's this scene, which was filmed in Stykkishólmur, which was then the named location for the volcano scene later in the movie where he skateboards, but was filmed on the other side of Iceland:
