Indie Film Release Guide: September 2nd [An ONTD Original]

Sep 01, 2022 10:08

Many theaters are offering $3 admission on Saturday, September 3rd, and the new releases this weekend help to explain why that’s the case - theaters desperately need something to attract moviegoers. There are no new big studio films, just a Spider-Man: No Way Home rerelease, Jaws in IMAX, and a mixed bag of indie releases.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: August 26th, August 19th, and August 12th.
