I am disappointed in Jon Bernthal, mainly because I think he‘s hot and this ruins him for me lol but I should have seen it coming. He is just extremely straight and extremely American. And has like a million cop friends.

Yeah, I don’t know how I never really saw it. I guess because I never followed his personal life much, but just looking at him now I’m like…oh, he’s one of those masculine brotherhood types.

Wasn't Bernthal supporting Marilyn Manson recently? Or was that just a twitter rumor?

I can't tell anymore if he's owning up to his own bullshit or just trying to look like he is for the court date with FKA Twigs and his future career. For the sake of his wife and child I hope it's the former but I don't trust him.

Self-flagellation is part of his comeback process. He's been doing this for more than a decade. It reminds me of what Lainey says about Ben Affleck: he self sabotages bc he's addicted to being the underdog and clawing his way back up. Watching Shia do this for the umpteenth time feels like he gets off on it somehow.

Yeah I feel like this is something abusers do to get sympathy just so they can continue being shitbags. There's a quote where he describes Honey Boy as a 'woe is me' story, but that's what he's doing now, talking about he's a piranha and how he's gonna have to pay for this his whole life, like boo hoo.

I remember reading that the #1 sign that a person is going to be an abuser is the first thing they do is start in with "woe is me" stories. Their exes were all crazy, their parents mistreated them, they don't have a friend in the world, won't you be their friend?

And the victims get suckered in and that's why they feel they can't leave over and over again.

Good God, he is the definition of an "artist" who creates and spreads pain just to have something interesting happen to him. What a pyscho.

I share your hopes, but I don't think it's possible. Such hearings are never a win even when on the rarest of occasions you do actually win.
