I’m just. Florence Pugh innocent. I wonder if she knew this was happening or if she found out like the rest of us? I’m just. I get it, Olivia was trying to get this guy to stay on her movie (god knows why, could’ve had a replacement in an instant). and yes Shia is leaving out some key context, namely the tension that apparently existed on set between him and Florence. but still, this is her throwing Florence under the bus. She is painted as the problem here to appease Shia’s ego, and actually telling a man who has NOTABLY terrorized his female co-stars on the set before that he’ll be able to give “Miss Flo” a wake up call if he rejoins the film. it’s heinous.

also just the absolute condescension of the “Miss Flo *deep beleaguered sigh*” as if she’s a girl they plucked out of nowhere and not like. an Oscar nominated actress. ugh.

I read her Variety interview last night and it so pretentious and performative that it soured me on her. It was this paragraph that broke me:
