What a mess. Is it really that hard to get your house in order?

If A2 is getting pushed back an entire year, they better put in every.single.Amber.scene.

Also if we have a "DC Nation" or whatever con this year its going to be an absolute laugh fest with everything DC getting pushed back, canceled, sold to another company for $$$

They're not doing DC Fandome this year, that's why they did ComicCon. Last year they announced Fandome in April, this year, nothing. They can't arrange something like that in just two months, and that's where they are right now.

I suspect Amber will be kept in the movie. Time is on her side at this point.

I have a question that I’ve been wondering for a while. Discovery and the CEO Zaslav are making these crazy cuts because WB wasn’t forthcoming about the debt they had. Isn’t that a good enough reason for the merger to be cancelled?

Do they want to cancel the merger though? Zaslav is thinking long term and he will now control the biggest studio and IPs that arent Disney.

But overall, yeah if they wanted out, this wouldve been a good reason initially.

They were forthcoming, it's public information because of the stockholders. They've been carrying billions in debt for years, that's one of the reasons ATT wanted the merger.

ATT never knew what to do with a movie studio, they're a phone company. They were less slash and burn than Zaslav, but they alienated Nolan.

The merger isn't going to be canceled, but the government might open an antitrust investigation against WBD because of the way Zaslav has been canceling programs and films featuring women and minorities.

Lmao they truly can't get anything right. It's hilarious to see. Like I don't even subscribe to this whole ~MCU vs DCEU, who's paying off critics~ nonsense, but it's exceptional to watch them make so many wrong decisions when Disney is such a tightly run ship. (And an evil empire, don't get me wrong, but at least they can maintain a basic schedule.)

Now that the pandemic is not as threatening anymore (so they say, so they say!!111) they are gonna start going back to theater-only releases which has been happening already.

I'm sure movies like The Batman and more recently Elvis have emboldened them.

Batgirl deserved better!! :((((!! I hope someone uploads it online!!

Regarding Aquaman, I have the feeling WB also wants to wait to see how much the public opinion keeps shifting, and if the sentiment goes mostly towards Amber, they'll restore her scenes in order to play it off as standing in for victims or some shit, pure oportunistic crap.

Maybe I'm giving WB too much credit, but I don't doubt they'll be after some social brownie points.

I think they're just hoping they wait long enough that people stop caring about the trial either way.
