it was all orchestrated by a group of men in their 60s and 70s

I'm surprised they're so old.

real criminals aren't typically the washboard ab models we see in the movies lol.

Obviously? Nobody's expecting washboard ab models lol. It's just creepy that the men are extremely older than her.

Wow. Men really were a mistake.

And frankly, so was Vice for giving this piece of shit a platform.

I was gonna say, why would you interview this person?

yeah, outlets need to stop giving just any fucking person a chance to air out their thoughts. buzzfeed recently interviewed the guy who threw something on stage and hit lady gaga in the head and like, we simply do not need to hear from everyone.

At least that guy claimed it was an accident so you could count that as 'information' about the incident.

This was a coordinated attack that a bunch of people went to jail for. What could possibly be gained by talking to any of them? "I fell and accidentally taped her mouth shut"?

People can downvote you all they want. While Kim did not deserve to be robbed (I’ve been home invaded/robbed at gunpoint, I know how traumatic the experience is, I know what it feels like to wonder if you’re about to be raped and murdered while they riffle through your stuff), she did deserve that put down bc that comment she made was absolutely disgusting and as nonsensical of her to say as it is to say those robbers “got off their asses and worked”

It’s also traumatic af for someone born to riches to tell poor people (who have the entire system stacked against them) that they deserve poverty bc they’re too lazy to want to work. So she absolutely deserves that dig, not like she’s ever going to see it anyways.

i think its impossible for rich people to have a sense of reality. i guarantee you kim's busiest work day holds no candle to an 8-hour shift in customer service or a physical labor job.

I imagine she thinks sitting in a make up chair for a few hours having her hair and make up done for a photo shoot is considered work.

“I went on the internet and I saw her jewelry, I saw her ring, I saw that she showed it everywhere,” he said, “I thought she’s got a lot of money, this lady doesn’t care at all. Since she was throwing money away, I was just there to collect it and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care. I don’t care.”

oh, please. as if he wasn't robbing her to become rich and possibly flaunt that $$$ himself. I really doubt he's some Robin Hood character. Also, this sounds so much like rapists talking about their victims.

" They also tied her up and duct-taped her mouth and eyes shut along with the concierge, fearing she’d be sexually assaulted and murdered, imagining her sister Kourtney, discovering her dead body when she returned to the hotel."

The grammar in this sentence suggests that it was the robbers who were fearing that, which doesn't seem to be the case.

give OP a break lol it's obvious what they meant

oh, I thought that was from the source at Buzzfeed. but in any case, I'm not dissing the OP, just pointing this out.

Everybody, even non famous people, should be more careful online. You never know who sees your stuff.

Now, this doesn't mean Kim deserved for this to happen to her. She didn't deserve to be held hostage and think she was going to be raped or killed. She didn't deserve to go through that. And if you make jokes about this, people here did until she talked about all that went down, you are garbage just like these men.

Agree with both points. My mom is older and from a time where you would ask neighbors to stop by your house every day you were on vacation so it looked like someone’s home/around. she taught me to post nothing that indicates where I am currently. I actually don’t use Instagram rn but when I did, If I went on vacation, I’d post about it two weeks later. No live stories. I also hate that function on Facebook that people use to let people know they're traveling. People are so worried about making their life look fun that they don’t think about safety
Edit: this isn’t a criticism of Kim just general observations about how people use socials

I'm probably your mom's generation and I feel the same way. My FB is locked and the vast majority of friends are actually people I know, and I post stuff from my trips on Instagram after I'm home because I've looked at who sees my stories and while it's mostly people I know both irl and online I follow there's some truly random people that pop up that make me think "Who are you?" You never know who is watching you. when, or why.

Yep. My mom's next door neighbor got robbed while the lady was on vacation. The timing of it is sus because it seems like whoever did it knew she wasn't going to be home then. A guy who's band is on tour atm just got robbed too (which is slightly different, I know, but still). People need to be really careful with the information they post on social media AND talk about irl.
