I read this yesterday and wow. It sounds like Wendy is suffering from some kind of degenerative brain disease. Forgetting entire conversations, unable to hold a train of thought, outlandish behavior...

She doesn't seem to have anyone looking out for her either. That jeweler turned manager certainly ain't it and her son is too young for all that.

Even though Wendy has never been a great person, it's sad what's been happening to her.

Yeah that was my first thought too, some kind of degenerative brain disease, sadly.

My grandpa passed from Alzheimer's and boy that was rough.

I really hope her child is okay and that her situation improves soon

the article was really hard to get through. i kept thinking of the "old wendy" i used to listen to on WBLS and how sharp and quick she was with her words. her old interviews, as problematic as they often were, are legendary. to hear that she can't even hold a basic conversation now? let alone remember that her own show was cancelled? so sad. it has to be more than just addiction.

That jumped out at me too. I have several relatives who developed Alzheimer's and the way Wendy is described in this report sounds similar to my experiences with those family members when they started showing symptoms. :(

I just want the best outcome for Auntie Wendy.

I don't understand why all the priceless YouTube content had to be abruptly yanked away like it never existed? I still have the Dillon compilations to make me laugh now and again at least.

Wendy is problematic but I really wish her the best :(

I bet the ex husband was planning to live off her forever and is fucking pissed she's not working.

Can she see where the camera is cutting to? Is that why she’s bursting out laughing in some of the clips? /never watched Wendy

I feel like reading this...idk. One of the pitfalls of capitalism is that it incentivizes deprioritizing material compassion. Bc to me it's obvious the show should've just been held until more concrete information could be used to make a decision, but then bc theres all this stuff ab everyone else's livelihood and Sherri's turn to make money, it's a "necessary evil" for them to disrespect Wendy's work like they did.

I just personally found the tone of this whole thing very off-putting.
