they're such a huge part of this because it's not like he was calculating or clever, he was literally lugging those VHS tapes around with him in a duffel bag at times, it wasn't remotely a situation where the people with him on a daily basis could pretend they were "looking the other way"

You bring up a good point. I thought conjugal visits were only allowed for spouses and the last I'd heard (during his previous trial) was that they were engaged, not married.

ETA: according to google, conjugal visits are only allowed in four states (California, Connecticut, New York, and Washington) and they're not allowed in federal or maximum security prisons.

The other day an interview with his ex wife randomly came up on my YouTube feed and it was so heartbreaking hearing her story about their marriage and the abuse she suffered. She had basically said she had no idea about his predatory behavior toward other young women because she was too focused on her own trauma.

I’m glad this man is going to prison for the rest of his life.
