as another taylor, I am ONLY changing my last name if I wed someone whose surname is taylor. if there's gonna be two taylors in the relationship then I need to be the MOST taylor!

That's a good attitude tbh. I've known a Taylor Tailor and a Gail Gayle and both of these women were extremely irritated by people pointing out how strange their names were even though it's entirely their fault? Like just keep your own name if it's going to bother you that much lmao

I remember scanning in medical files in one of my past jobs and coming across a person who was basically* named Mike Michael Michaels. So I think you should double down and divorce the first Taylor so you can become Taylor Taylor Taylor!

* it was actually a different common American English name that was repeated but I still like to play it safe even though this was over ten years ago, haha

I had an art teacher whose name was Elston marry someone whose last name was Elston so her name was Elston Elston. She was wonderful, and the last memory I have is of her at my HS restoring a mural there. I had stopped by because I had to get some paperwork for my passport, and she told me hoe proud she was that one of her students was in grad school and going to Switzerland for a summer design course.

She was a wonderful woman. May she RIP.

To answer the question, no. but i've also never met a man with my name

if i'm feeling generous the most anyone is getting out of me is hyphenation. even then i dont wanna go through all of the paperwork.
