I hope she defies all of our expectations and becomes a well-grounded adult. I think she’s tougher than a lot of people give her credit for.

That's cool, good for her (no sarcasm present lol this looks like a bitchy comment but I mean it)

I always wanted to do online school because the academic options where I'm at are nowhere near what I'm looking for, but idk how to find anything that's both legit and will be taken seriously given how an online degree is not treated the same.

Don’t trip tbh. Even Harvard offers *free accesses to online classes and others. *terms may apply. There are plenty of awesome free resources available online too. Get the valid certificates for pretty much everything that is relevant to your skills and such in legitimacies. Just something ~extra boost in your resume or portfolios.

If you're interested in online schooling with degree potential but with less commitment than a "regular" college, try Cousera! They offer accredited courses, and you're able to earn a degree through several general disciplines!

It depends upon the college. It’s more the school than just an online degree they raises eyebrows. Like you could complete an online program with Western Governors or Argosy that people might look askance at, but if you graduated from an online program from University of Washington or Sewanee or whatever there would be no difference.

Some schools were partnering with online program managers that basically got to use the school’s name/clout but none of their faculty or school were really involved, and that’s problematic. But some schools offer legit degrees online. I wish the college I work at would start an online JD. Syracuse has one and it’s grown into a really large program. Some schools do have degree programs that can be completed online, even before the pandemic, though some learned to pivot after. More will be coming.

I'm surprised that she's going at all. She's a great actress and could probably get lots of offers. I wonder if she's trying to step away from acting. Edit: I just saw the part about online classes. That makes sense.

I'm also surprised we never had a post about her talking about her creepy tiktoker ex.

Good for her. Purdue is a good school and a bit unexpected. I hope she has a great experience.
