In no particular order...

1. Steve Harrington from Stranger Things
"He was terrible in the first season, but his friendship with Dustin and the gang in the later seasons is so genuine; he's had a good redemption arc."

2. Negan ( Read more... )

Zuko obviously

Then Greyjoy tho he deserved a better death if he has to die.

The worst is Jason Statham's character in the Fast & Furious films. I hated that he became part of the Family.

I'll forever be mad about it lol he should have stayed a one and done villain. He was great as that.

And to make it worst, they gave him the baby, which, to me, is the shittiest way to redeem a character, i.e. make them rescue a cute baby/kid/puppy. Are you kidding me???

AND. AND. Because of that stupid redemption arc, y'all got stuck with that Hobbs/Shaw movie (which I haven't watched because I'm stubborn and refuse to.)

I get that they wanted Jason in more movies, but he could have been bad in the rest.

I guess I never considered the Rose family as having redemption arcs as I usually saw those for former villains, but either way their character development was 👌👌

I'm watching TWD season 5 right now, and Negan hasn't shown up yet but I'm super curious about what he will be like considering the reactions he gets from people.

I remember watching TWD from the beginning and I used to be on my phone like "villain's name" + "wikia". just to see which episode they would die.

Alas, with Negan there was no death date ☹️ I stopped somewhere in season 9, I still have to catch up but it's so much work pffff

I usually like villains in fiction but not the ones in twd so far... I also checked the death episode for the governor because I couldn't stand the character.

TBH, Steve probably wouldn’t have gotten character growth and redemption if the viewers liked Jonathan. My opinion is that the Duffer brothers probably weren’t expecting people to call out Jonathan taking those creepy pictures. Johnathan was a Xander Harris nice guy, and audiences saw that clearer now than they did in 1996 when Buffy first aired.

I think you're right but I actually don't think jonathan taking those creeper pictures bothered people? like it definitely bothered me but I think overall it was not really a make or break moment for his character with the general public. I think it has more to do with the fact that joe keery is more charistmatic and likable than jonathan's actor whose name I literally cannot even remember right now lol.

Agreed. And maybe I’ve watched too much tv in my life because I was more focused on the fact that those pictures were an obvious plot device and wondered how they’d be relevant later.
