People often forget that making true amends doesn’t mean others have to accept your apologies, believe you, etc. etc. being remorseful and truly feeling guilt and wanting to be a better person should not be contingent upon people letting you back in their arms, lives, or that you get your career back.

But yeah given the extent of his abuse, I’m dubious at best.

TBH, I don't think people forget that the victim might not accept the apology. I think people know and have selfish, albeit occasionally understandable, reasons for insisting that the harmed person forgives and forgets.

There'll never be a right time for his victims to speak. He was hoping they'd forget they have a choice in the matter. "Righting your wrongs" applies to people who have admitted they have done wrong, and afaik he still hasn't given a proper apology to any of his victims - his first reactions were deny, deny, deny, then say 'whoops sorry' for referring to someone as Ms Cayman, as if that's the worst thing he's done. Bye, get in the bin.
