honestly he could've come in handy and I 100% believe that he would be the one that the Russians wanted over Joyce and Murray. They could've used him as the bait that helped them break into the prison to get hopper out.

Although I enjoyed S4, it definitely had too many characters in too many different places. It would have benefited from a tighter cast and story. If they didn't want to kill anyone off, they could have written a couple of characters out quite easily. I mean, who'd want to stay in Hawkins after all of this shit anyway? Send Jonathon to college, for example.
