New episode of The Orville: New Horizons begins now!!! - Seth MacFarlane (@SethMacFarlane) July 14, 2022
The Orville: New Horizons season 3, episode 7, "From Unknown Graves", is now on Hulu! What do you think??? Favorite part? Least favorite? 🚨ONLY THREE EPISODES LEFT, I AM SO SAD 😭
I, just, out of all the possibilities we could have gotten with Talla/John, I can't say I would have seen that coming.
Solid episode, maybe not the most memorable, but solid. I loved that we got to see the matriarchal society that Talla mentioned when she first joined the crew.
I actually LOVED this episode because Isaac with emotions is everything I wanted Data with emotions to be back in the day but Brent Spiner went way too extreme with it lol and it was just... irritating when they finally gave him emotions. But Mark Jackson played it with tenderness and gentleness and it was just... really lovely. And then it was too lovely and I was like, OUCH.
Talla and John.. hahah my friend and I were just laughing tbh. But we did appreciate the comparison between them having emotional compatibility but no physical compatibility, while Claire and Isaac were the opposite.
I appreciated it as a nice change of pace too after some really heavy eps.
also, regarding last episode: Gordon sent the message when he had been in 2015 for six months. But then at the end, they retrieved him after he'd been there one month. Did they not just create an alternate timeline by doing that? @_@ seems like too glaring too be a mistake.
I wish they had tried a little more sophisticated route with the Matriarchal society as it felt a little old hat a portrayal and maybe have them and Bortus go at each other for a bit.
The stuff with the original Kaylon was nice, I loved the dig at corporate BS and the way they touched on the psychology of it all.
I've not been keen on the human form Issac stuff, but it was well done for what it was.
Would have loved to see Bortus go at it with them! However, I enjoy the character growth of Bortus, his reactions to everything I felt liked he trying his best for Topa!
I actually continued watching the show, after you (senshi_forever) and I were writing with each other about that :) Glad I continued. Still get hung up on some of the scenes, but not as much and I appreciate the overall effort.

Also, I made a bunch of icons from existing gifs, enjoy. And if there's a gif you want iconized just lmk. https://beesknees7.livejournal.com/22932.html
