Ciara's lack of growth as an artist is astonishing. She literally stopped evolving after The Evolution.

I follow her on IG and she's got 50/11 business ventures (good for her!), which might explain why her music is lacking. It likely is far from her main focus these days.

She's making music she can put in commercials for her other businesses or NFL promos.

The mv is very early ‘00s. It’s leaning into that era so hard that I’m gonna be nice and assume the campy nostalgia is intentional.

I’m happy she’s back w/ new music tho. She’ll always be one of the top r&b pop girls of her gen to me because she could actually dance. I still remember the first time I saw her do her Matrix move 😲
