Well, now we at least know why we're not getting that sex scene. I wish we'd gotten the second part to Mallory's flashback instead of this cartoony re-enactment.

That storyline didn't track for me. The mom (forget her name) left MM because of his dangerous job/erratic behavior but seemingly doesn't intervene immediately when her white bf is exposing her Black daughter to racist rhetoric. Like, I know this happens but it does seem like this storyline was written by someone who has never had any hand in raising a Black (or POC) child.
