I always think 50s London was so ugly. None of the glamour of Paris nor the modernity of New York or L.A. They tried somewhat but couldn't quite get it together until their dominance of the 60s.

Well London got bombed to shit during WW2 and they had rationing until 1954 so that’s not exactly surprising
