Can you share what made it so great? I was not impressed with their Tony's performance, although I know it's a great cast.

I have no idea honestly but I've seen like...a summer camp version of Company, and then the NPH (which was meh) and Raul versions on tv, so I loved seeing it in person for real this time. It's a vignette style musical but I thought it was just awesomely done and the skits were funny (and I'm in my mid 30s now so it's very relevant).

I'm so fucking mad about Company closing!! I definitely thought it would be around through the holidays and I'd have another chance to see it. At least I got the chance to see it once, anyway. Would highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance, it's an excellent production.

Idk why they're losing the mask mandate when so many shows are still being cancelled because of COVID - I guess maybe they think more people will attend shows without masks being required? But I don't know that anti-maskers and Broadway fans have a significant overlap.

Setting it for July 1st makes me think it’s appeasing/attracting summer tourists from Florida or whatever going to see Wicked or Chicago who are much more likely to be anti-maskers

I think its being done for tourists coming in, honestly. A lot of tourists dont want to wear masks and as vax requirements dropped, i noticed more and more people openly disregarding mask rules in theaters anyway, and a lot of theaters had gotten rid of their covid safety officers. i knew it was coming and its a huge bummer bc i just dont go to shows anymore

I have seen between 1-3 shows a week since the last week of January but that comes to an end with the end of mask mandates, tbh. Shame they're dropping them, especially considering how many of their actors continue to test positive.

I am surprised Company is the first post-Tony's closure announcement. Glad I saw it this month again!

Fuck, I don't think I'll be able to get to NY next month. Fingers crossed the tour stops by because I really want to see that production.

If it's at all possible to see it on broadway, would def recommend. There is a lot that will be lost in set design for a touring production tbh

Yeah... I'm probably going to see if I can come in for a weekend.

I saw it in London and don't rly remember anything about the set design, it was extremely minimalistic from what I remember. Now I wonder if I missed out!

Company was performing at 50 - 70% after the Tony's and, it was on TKTS before and after the Tonys. I', pretty sure that since Patti has a hand in the production that she decided to just cancel it when they announced news of the mask mandate ending.

Now a certain Noodle is celebrating it and that is pissing me off a bit because his show ain't doing all that good. I honestly can't with that man.
