She said all she can say. No one knows what she told her daughter privately or if she discussed any concerns with her, and slamming Sami's choice in public wouldn't help.

Nobody wants their kid doing even kinda-sorta-sex work. You can be sex positive and supportive of people making their own choices and still not want your kid to do those things. It's not weird or controlling, it's just being a parent. Richards isn't a better parent because she's more accepting, nor is she a worse one. But, in this very narrow context, neither is Sheen. But, he shouldn't have said it publicly. The fact he did, for me, is what makes this shitty and sketchy and hypocritical. And telling, that he obviously doesn't have a relationship with her to say this to her in private.

Charlie need not say one negative word about Denise considering she took in his twins when he and his wife/their mother were unable to care for them. She’s a way better parent than he ever could be
