OP, correction: kirk thornton is the current VA for shadow, jason griffith voiced him up to 2010. i thought he was not great in the sonic boom cartoon (but shadow's personality was not good ther), but i think he's hit his stride with what i've heard in forces.

if they have to go for a 'star' instead of his actual VA, even if that sonic quote was fake (but hilarious!), i'd be fine with rpattz tbh

If not an actual voice actor then I vote Nicole Byer because she LOVES this franchise and wants in so, so badly. Or even just a cameo in the movie as a human woman instead IDK. Give ha ha sonic movie dream!!
