I'm so, so excited for the new MUNA album in a few weeks.

I haven't been listening to a lot of new music this week, meaning music just released within the past week, but do want to draw attention to a couple of albums that released in the last few months and remain criminally underrated; I've been listening to both of them a lot this week:

Nilüfer Yanya's PAINLESS

and Ethel Cain's Preacher's Daughter

okay, i finally listened to preacher's daughter last weekend and now i'm fucking obsessed. i had never heard of ethel before, so i was surprised that she's already got a pretty strong cult following, but hearing this album i can understand why.

they honestly never do for me; i honestly have a playlist of just there stuff to play on shuffle in the background when i'm not in the mood for anything particular.

i saw them in Feb 2020 and they were so good! the only thing is that at the end of their show during their encore, i could see all the kt tape peeking from their sleeves and neckline. it just made me wonder how much is probably all over their hips and ankles; then i remember how young they are and their bodies are just going to be torn up from all the intense chorography.

yerin baek's pisces is nice but not really what i'm in the mood for with summer starting up, i'll return to it in pisces season for sure tho.

and speaking of pisces: learning from this post lykke li has a new release out, i will be listening later. i wore 'wounded rhymes' tf OUT. i liked 'i never learn' too but 'so sad so sexy' didn't really stick with me. we'll see how this one fares, already loving that there's a visual element lol.

yeah, i was expecting something different from "pisces" as well! and i'll be interested in hearing what you think of the lykke album, i really hope it grows on me.

huh, i thought i'd like the potion song more since i loved one kiss and i like most of young thug's music. but eh. too sleepy

yesss i love when she works with andy! i've been loving the songs so far. i'm sure the album will be one of my favorites this year when it finally comes out.

My release radar let me down and didn't feature the new Oliver Sim song despite me liking his previous two songs and being a stan of The xx for years. 😤 I love his voice and this song is so personal, I can't imagine how emotional it would be to release and speak about it.
