S1, I was honestly impressed at how well Kaley Cuoco managed to carry a series.
S2, with a much looser storyline and with the demand of KC doing that stupid, distracting Mind Palace narrative crutch thing waaaaay too much, I’m finding KC a lot less impressive. Her mouth dropped, panting, blinking rapidly is her go-to, and that’s…not good acting, imo.
Sigh, I know what you mean about the Mind Palace narrative showing some of the weaknesses in her acting. She's actually quite talented, but in the Mind Palace scenes she keeps falling into the pattern of trying to "emote" instead of using the characters to drive the change in the emotional arc of the other Cassies.
honestly! Her mouth dropped just takes me out every time....I'm never 100% sure what emotion she's trying to convey.
The "Mind Palace" is a filler, I'm curious to see if they can manage without it. They can't seriously carry this on and at the same frequency and duration in season 3, if there's one.
After watching the inside the episode segments each week, I've learned that Kaley and the writers are in love with the mind palace concept, probably too much so. It's not a bad idea but I think they were way too impressed with themselves for using it in S1 and latched onto the idea of having a bunch of Cassies in it for S2.
I get that it's a way for us to get inside of Cassie's head (and I agree with everyone on the show who said that it was a beautiful set) but the mind palace really did not work for me this season. It felt like a pointless interruption every time we get yanked in there, partly because we usually don't get any new information there. I get it. Cassie is conflicted and berates herself. I already knew that last season.

I really just tune out when she goes into her internal monologue. they are just time fillers at this point.
the CGI was so bad this episode.
I love that they captured that open mouth acting she does in the screengrab for trailer.
