I always found her ugly and her acting overrated. I felt vindication when she wore that "A Low Vera" shirt because...whew. That told me so much about her
I lost a lot of respect for her due to the t-shirt nonsense, too. Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure that’s when I stopped following her career in general.
Actually, I first read that on IMDb back in high school. I thought the post's sentence was saying the gossip writers were personally calling her that in their articles.
Yeah she was a mess in that set and it’s likely the crew leaked it. She really was on Spielberg’s bad side. She wasn’t showing up on set or learning her lines. Like she had accepted the part then deemed it beneath her and she didn’t want to be bothered, but they had a schedule to meet for scenes and filming.
i find most of the way journalists treated her to be disgusting in her early days tbh like she's 25 in that vanity fair article?? idk she has a strong personality but i'd respond like this too if i was asked some of these questions
yeah like idk i feel like she's probably a dick IRL (re: her current marriage) but in terms of work and her interviews?? i feel like i side with her lol
Don’t find what she said that bad? The interviewers are the ones that seem to be the problem. I always thought she was pretty but overall she’s just charismatic as hell. Not sure anyone nowadays has come close.
Same. I don't even like her but a lot of what she said here I don't see a problem? It's mainly the journalists themselves that are goading her or just straight up asking absurd questions
That's been my takeaway in this whole series too: How sexist, disrespectful, "gotcha" and truly none of our business the interview actually is. We really aren't owed personal details from other people, even if they're famous, and even if they open up about the topic in the past.
Then I imagine enduring that every time, thousands of times, by the time your career is just a couple of years old... from that lens, her answers are good.

(I think she's charismatic and good-looking, but the A Low Vera t-shirt was mean-spirited.)
