Florence + The Machine:

I've never really listened to her before, but I liked the singles from this album. I listened to this album a couple of times through this morning, and I love a lot of it!! My fave song is probably

but I could see that changing because there are a lot of good options! Glad to have found an entry point to her music.

The Black Keys:

I like it, tbh, but it's nothing different for them. I know they borrow a lot, but holy shit, "Burn the Damn Thing Down" sounds so much like "The Ballad of John and Yoko" to me that I cannot unhear it.

The Smile:

Okay, so it's not quite Radiohead, but it's pretty damn good in its own unique way!

Also listening to Sharon Van Etten's new album from last week. Some of it is still not hitting for me, but after several listens throughout the week, I like several songs, including this one:

if you liked dance fever you should definitely check out lungs and ceremonials! her earlier work sounds just like it.

and yeah, i agree, the black keys did more of the same.
