I remember being uncomfortable with him going back to when she was a child in the book and the movie. Glad people are pointing it out.

I can't really remember how they handled it in the movie.

From what I remember she only saw him for a few minutes and from a distance, I think? I haven't seen the movie in forever but I don't remember being too creeped out. Plus in the end she gets really angry with him.

That was the first scene I have seen of the movie. Him being naked and covering himself behind a blanket and she’s as a child next to him. That was already enough.

Her second book was much more interesting to me, I remember really enjoying it - Her Fearful Symmetry - but yeah I don’t know why they keep going down the time traveling road with this one

The book was pretty good. From what I remember, it was mostly from the wife's POV and she was furious when she found out he had manipulated her since she was a kid. It's been well over a decade since I read it, though.

I remember the movie was from his POV but she was also pissed at him when she figured everything out.

I thought the movie/book was about an Indian Jones/Dr.Who-type guy traveling through time to solve puzzles and collect trinkets for his wife who is tired of his hoarding
