Scarlet Witch was legit scary in this, I loved that. I need to watch the movie again to really make up my mind but I think I liked it.

that part where shes chasing them and lunges out from the dark and all you see are the pinpricks of red where her eyes are made me SCREAM

I just got out from the theater and I really enjoyed it tbh. It was a mess but I was living for chaotic Wanda and all the horror elements. I want more spooky shit.

Yeah I loved the darkness of it (thank you Raimi!) but I think the script was questionable? Seemed a bit uneven to me.

Oh, the script was def questionable at the very least. But I love Wanda/Elizabeth so much, I was sort of able to ignore the messiness. The “I could do this all day” made me cringe to no end though.

Agreed, I really appreciate how dark and the thriller feel of the movie, I didn’t expect that at all. But the script didn’t live up to the visual and direction of the movie

Wanda killed it as expected. I feel they still held back on her power

She better be given a reception arc.

She had great reception she could communicate between multiverses!

--Krasinski isn't a good RR.
--Haley Atwell wasn't a good Cap or a good anyone. No more of her on my screen. Nuke the character in all iterations like the Darkhome.
--I clapped when the above-named got slaughtered.
--Movie was poorly plotted but saved by Raimi's whimsy and Olsen's performance.
--Cumberbatch seemed checked out and may need to review and hopefully renew his ongoing commitment. There's nothing worse than a bored lead (looking at you, Hiddles).
--Why was McAdams in a 70s stewardess outfit for most of the film? Very weird choice. Why would a scientist, a chief scientist at that, wear a uniform? Feels cheap and weirdly demeaning to the character.
--The Chavez actress is horrendous and needs to be recast. There are literally dozens of young Latina women who could do a far better job.

The should have cast the girl from Julie and the Phantoms. She looks more the part too.

I really hope Krasisnki isn't the Earth-616 Reed. Mainly because I don't want the fancasters to get their way, lol.

Considering that He Who Remains is Reed's grandson (or son in some continuities) Krasinksi is deeply wrong unless they cast someone who is actually dark skinned black with actual black features as Sue.

the only thing marvel impressed me with was keeping the 'wanda is the villain' secret from the general public (i'm sure nerds picked it up but i had no idea going in, so that was kinda cool)

I knew about her being a villain going on, but I am glad they revealed it right off the bat and didn't do the usual thing of keeping it a mystery of who is behind all the bad stuff for like half the movie.

i got the impression she would be on the opposing side of strange, but i legit thought they would team up until wanda realised that she could get her kids back and then go against strange. i thought the whole plot of the movie would be closing the door to the multiverse lol.

so i was shocked when 2mins into her screentime they revealed her to be the big bad. i liked it.

Yep, they definitely got me there. When she said America's name I was like oh shit.
