Est-ce que Janelle parle le français ? That's the important question.

she can learn? Josephine is not a native french speaker either.

I'm mostly joking. Either way, I'm sure they're going to have all the french people speak in english like do in Emily in Paris. Josephine spoke better french than some native speakers and that can't be learned in 2 months.

She is learning a script, it's not like she is going around doing improv. The rest is up to accent coaches.

I can see it. I was really pleasantly surprised by how good an actress she is in the stuff I've seen.

I think it's wise to approach this as a series instead of a movie because Josephine did so many different things in her life. She was truly an amazing woman.

Honestly, it would be great to lean into the sheer fabulousness of her existence. Even the tough stuff she went through had a glamour to it. I hope they resist the urge to bring her down to earth. She really really wasn't. Don't deconstruct her.

YES! Agreed so much. I think that’s definitely doable in depth rather than just squeezing and literally everything in one entire movie while cramping its biopic / storytelling style especially with historical accuracies. That ought be more likely an favorable approach to this respectively. As if this is sacred in particular because of stories that are supposed to be done in a way that should be out of respect and proper researches. Quality over quantity.

(Then again, if for a feature film in running for the Oscars, idk wtf the Oscars really want or expect since last time lol. Idgi)
