I saw the original movie for the first time a few months ago and it was pretty decent. I'm somewhat interested in seeing this one (I can go for free with my movie card anyway) because I am curious how much they might reference the previous movie. I know that the son of Goose is apparently a big character so I'm interested to see if there will be some sort of savior act there. You know, save the son when you couldn't save the father etc.

Anyway, in general I am into movies that make a sequel a LONG time later but with the same lead. Like Blade Runner with Harrison Ford and The Matrix with Keanu Reeves. To see someone that genuinely aged is fun even if the movie might not be amazing.

I was cringing at myself for thinking he looks really good with the longer hair. Evil just ages well sometimes.

I love when movie premieres are held outside of LA and NYC, especially when the movie has a connection to the city.
