I've seen a lot of people with all sorts of physical/mental conditions ghosted by evangelicals...like, is the thought process that the folks with these conditions serve as a reminder that God isn't capable of full healing or is the thought process that the folks with these conditions just "aren't praying hard enough" and thus are a "bad influence?"

Yes, this is so common! Same with physical disabilities if you’re not cool with toxic positivity & never ‘complaining’.

It honestly makes my blood boil only because my two kids also inherited both my ASD but also a degenerative disorder. They only know about my diagnosis's (this was all a recent discovery!) but it clearly shows how I need to protect my children from them.

Last night, I saw a tumblr post about Roe v. Wade that asked people to "pray pray pray pray pray" that it will get overturned. What, then, can we conclude if it doesn't? That God is pro-abortion? That people just didn't pray hard enough? I already know the hoops that they'll jump through to explain it away. It's just so disgusting.
