The car was going too fast on a left turn (...) The driver was cited for speeding.

Well, if it isn't the consequences of your actions.

I hope he recovers but frankly, I'm just glad innocent people didn't get hurt over his cousin's reckless driving.

doesn't take that much . I almost crashed into the back of a just developing traffic jam because I misjudged the speed of the cars in front of me, had to swerve left onto the shoulder and almost rolled over.

Here's the Tweet in question (and Odette is a mini Gen with only a bit of Jared in her. Wow)

Hey y’all! I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. I’m definitely on the mend and hoping to return to filming later this week. I’m so lucky to have had the best care and be surrounded by people who love me. So grateful for everyone🙏 #SPNFamily #WalkerFamily #AKF pic.twitter.com/TF1C73sbX8

And holy shit. This is worse than I was expecting. I wonder how he (seemingly) didn't break anything. Hopefully his cousin and the other passengers are okay too!

'The driver was cited for speeding' Almost killed two other people, one of whom is semi-famous and was cited for 'speeding.'
Not reckless driving. Speeding.

And you know damn well why.
Edited to add: as someone who almost died due to someone else's reckless driving (who also got off basically scot free, I wonder what these two drivers had in common...) and 15 years later still has the scars/pain from it the more I think about this the more angry I get.

I always thought that you have to be going a certain amount over the speed limit for it to go from speeding to reckless driving, although I don't know how that works when there's an accident as a result. on a turn I can see how even going 10 over would be dangerous but that's usually not a speed that results in a reckless driving charge otherwise (iirc)

They're the worst! In TC near where I live they're always doing reckless shit on the road, changing lanes suddenly without blinkers, brake checking, etc. Idg how some people think it's a flex - they look like they were assembled by toddlers and have a laundry list of issues straight out of the factory doors.
