i'm not even addressing the rest but i will say i agree that i don't think you should always consider marriage, or any long term commitment, as a failure just because it ends. it can still be successful and an important part of your life, even if it doesn't last forever. people change and grow all the time and not always together in the same direction

Yeah, I totally related to that part of the article. I’m not ashamed for being divorced because I got married so young, and at least I chose a good person to spend those years with. But I’m also glad it didn’t work out because we’re now both with people who have changed us for the better.
