I really want to say about fucking time Ellen! But also she's a woman and it took her 84 years to become irl uber powerful mer grey (queen of abc so to speak) so I guess why she didn't feel comfortable to speak up then when she could have been replaced by lexie...

IT'S ABOUT TIME. I'm still not 100% sure if KH really asked to leave for good in S6 or if she just wanted fewer hours or what (that set has been full of shadiness and fake PR bullshit from day one lbr), but either way, the way she's been talked about since then has been awful. Not just the headlines and jokes calling her ~ungrateful~, but Shonda herself with the "there are no Heigls on my [Scandal] set" and never inviting her back -- and not even for Alex's final scenes!! That was insane to me. And to have co-star choker and right-wing lunatic Isaiah back...truly insane shit.

and yes, Ellen should have said something long ago. At least TR had her back.

imo it seems pretty egregious that she wasn't even told that the Izzie/Alex "reunion" was happening, let alone being asked back to film a few scenes or whatever. (And rightfully she stood up for Jo. 💝 I AM STILL SO MAD ABOUT THAT UGH)

The thing with Knocked Up is that her quotes always get taken out of context. The interviewer specifically asked her if she thought the film was kind of sexist (because it was getting flack at that time) and all she said was “Yeah ya know in hindsight some of the jokes and the way certain things were written were kind of sexist.”

And I know everyone always says “but then she did that Ugly Truth movie!” but the blacklisting had already started by then and she’s adopted another baby and I feel like she was just taking what she could get to secure some money for the future. Lord knows her husband’s music wasn’t gonna secure them lol.

What people don’t realize though is that the writers were punishing her and TR intentionally and giving them bad storylines because Heigl was standing up for TR because Isiah was a violent homophobe. THAT’S really why she did it.

People always forget TR chose to leave the show around that time too.

Shonda was incredibly bitter about being forced to fire Isiah and she even brought him back later on.
