I've posted about it a bunch but it's a massive issue in comedy and always has been. I'm at a point where I expect absolute hypocrisy but even so comedians have really outdone themselves this month.

Also:

The Hollywood Improv is telling comedians not to do any pedophile jokes if Chris Delia is on the line up but I doubt you’ll hear any free speech defenders say shit about it

Well the Hollywood Improv is dumb as fuck because whatever Delia’s issues are - to my knowledge he’s not a pedophile nor has he been accused of being one. And I really wish people would stop making light of child victims of sexual crimes by trying to equate everything with pedophilia. It’s not amusing.

The thing is, did anyone tie Delia to pedophilia but this club?
They made the association. Not any comedian or other commenter. They put out a blanket request on a type of joke that didn't even have to mention or hint at Delia. So they created the association.

Yep and it was dumb as fuck, unnecessary, sleazy and gross. Although, I suppose it was just a tweet so who even knows of its true. But I have a visceral reaction to folks trying to turn inappropriate sexual conduct by adults toward other adults into a pedophilia issue because I used to work at a CAC……

The people who get canceled are the ones whose lives and careers have been fucked with, and mine has.

She's so right and it's exhausting and aggravating to watch all the time. Male comedians bitch and moan and then at the end of the day they just hide and come back, while women who actually try and stop this kind of behaviour ACTUALLY get ignored and cancelled. It's infuriating.

Good for her. I've always liked her as a comedian and I'm hoping that audiences respond well to her jokes on this horror show situation
