I’m so confused. Reddit absolutely loved it but I thought it, and the whole series tbh, was SO boring.

I have only watched seasons 1 and 2 because I have commitment issues with shows lol but I am very fond of shows that kill important characters rofl. I loved Death in Paradise because of that but anyways, I have no idea who dies here but I always hoped Tommy would die at the end because why not?

I stopped around season 3 but I always thought Tommy would die at the end. I'll be very surprised if he survives lol

I predicted that that Tommy had to die in the end and it would be at Michael's hand. The way they were heavy handed on it being an "opera" and a Shakespearean tragedy it seemed right.

I just finished the episode so I have questions-- [Spoiler (click to open)] So I didn't expect that ghost Ruby would show up and Tommy would essentially become Dexter and ride off into the sunset to be a lumberjack? horse wrangler? Hang out with Tom Hardy?

What happened to Anya TJ's character? Was she murdered since Tom Hardy has taken over Boston? What is Finn doing now? Did Arthur catch his fish?

And most importantly, did Curly get buff in lockdown? I didn't even recognise him.

Loved the blowing up of the house.

My husband is away on work so I will have to rewatch it when he gets back, so hopefully it will make more sense the second time around.

I have the same questions!! Finn was not at the table for the farewell off tommy why??
did Arthur drown?
Why did Tommy trust Duke so fast??

On Finn - [Spoiler (click to open)]I assumed because he had been kicked out of the family he wasn't invited to the party.

As for Duke,[Spoiler (click to open)] I think he accepted him so readily because Esme backed him, Ruby just died and he thought he was on the way out as well. So I think he was trying to tie up loose ends. It just so happened that he did have good judgement and he could rely on Duke and Finn has always proven to be useless. I guess its just a set up for a new rivalry for the movie.

How good is this show? It looks so agressively straight I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm a Breaking bad fan so I can deal with agressively straight if the story is good tho.

first season is very good imo. the rest bounce between mediocre to good.
if you watch the first two episodes or so you'll know if you like it - it's heavily stylized and it is for the entire series.

The first season has some tight writing but they quite clearly didn't have a plan beyond that

After the first season the writing varies, and so do the seasons but the performances by each and every one of the actors but especially, ofc, Cillian - are worth every second of my time. I love it and I’ll miss it very very much.
