Bruce Willis quits acting due to aphasia diagnosis

The actor was diagnosed with aphasia, his family announced. “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” his family wrote in a joint statement to social media, adding he will be “stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
Aphasia is a medical condition that affects a person’s ability to speak, write and understand language, verbal and written. It typically occurs after a stroke or head injury.
