I want to adopt another puppy but idk if my pup would like another dog. I feel like he would either love the buddy or he is going to be heartbroken and jealous his mommy got another dog. My dog is glued to my side.

Yeah, I feel the same way - either he'd love it, or he'd be a jealous monster and I honestly don't know which, lol. Maybe both!! We decided against it because of our cat - they already have a tenuous relationship and I don't wanna add a third party into the mix.

Have you thought about fostering?
I just troubleshooted a whole comment to you and then was like “fostering!”
But you can see how your dog reacts and if things go well, be a foster fail! And if things don’t, you would probably have more success getting a dog you personally know adopted through your circle.

I have 3 who hit all levels of this. My 15 going on 16 year old Dachshund is like “I don’t give a fuck” My 8 year old chihuahua is like “I’m a little scared but I’ll get to know you in time new friend”

3 year old chihuahua is “AW HEEEEELLL NO! WHO DA HELL IS YOU?! LIKE BRUH, YOU CANT STAY HERE! NOT IN *MY* HOUSE!! GET. OOOOUUUUTTT.”

When I was a kid I was super obsessed with Grease and I wrote him a letter and he sent me a note and a signed picture. His son Jett was around my age. He's a very thoughtful person.
