I watch re-runs of Gilmore Girls on TV sometimes, and still enjoy Lorelei as a character, though I think that's mostly because I like Lauren Graham's acting/presence.

I love Lorelai. Sure, she's deeply flawed and there are times she drives me crazy, but she's also funny and sympathetic and Lauren Graham is great.

I get people not liking her so much, but I do not understand this list putting her so low, with random, barely-any-lines-or-plot-or-personality characters like freaking Lindsay above her.

I love the first seasons of Gilmore Girls but everyone is annoying. Except maybe Lane's boyfriend Dave.

Dave was so charming. He and Lane should have shredded off into the sunset and never looked back.

I think Paris was the only character I really liked on that show. I think it came down to the actress.

Yeah I agree it’s the actress who makes her. I feel like she could be extremely annoying if someone else played her, but Liza Weil just had such great delivery. She auditioned for Rory but I can’t really picture her as Rory.

I can’t picture her as Rory either. Rory, while smart, is really sheltered and naive. Liza did great playing a girl who came from wealth but still understood the importance of putting in the work.
