Terrifying. I've been vigilant about protecting myself from Covid because I unfortunately have a family history of this.

Oh wow! That's so scary.
I hate that everything is almost returning back to normal now... I don't know when/if I'll ever be confortable again with not wearing a mask indoors.

Same. I still wear one and I’m so over the constant “you don’t have to wear one anymore!” “you can just take it off” comments. Leave me the fuck alone

It’s so weird that people are telling you obvious things like that. They’re either assuming you have been in a cave and haven’t watched the news in months or, more likely, just being really intrusive busybodies. I don’t get it. I don’t get it!

This explanation about mask "shaming" really put things into perspective for me nomoneyfun March 12 2022, 23:21:35 UTC

It's sad, but this is a very cynical play to change social norms so that individualistic behavior that puts others at risk becomes acceptable even when there is another surge.

It's not enough that mandates and guidelines have been dropped, they are pushing on morals too.

People really can't be bothered to do the smallest thing that shows care for other people.

possible covid complications so scary

I know a little girl with COVID who suddenly developed appendicitis that ruptured and is now in hosp. There seem to be many case reports of this. (i.e., probably not a coincidence)

With your user name the subject almost feels ironic, but there's so much we don't know about 'long covid' yet. And today I read about how the brains of (ex) covid patients have shrunk(!!).

And people acting like if you don't die, you're fine. "Omicron is mild!"

Yeah, but only compared to Delta. But with the sheer numbers being affected more people will die or develop life changing side effects.

We just don't know yet so why are we acting like we're out of the woods.
