I'm intrigued with where this is going but if they kill Q I'm done. I'm so tired of reboots and sequels bringing back characters to kill them off.
I'm not feeling Agnes tho (i didnt finish season 1 so whatever happened there idc). Idk if it's the writing or Alison or no chemistry with Santiago but whatever that subplot is needs to go. The Seven Shots thing was funny tho so I'll blame the chemistry and clunking writing.
I cannot really get into the new Star Trek series to save my soul. They just look so modern and I don’t know I just don’t care for it. But I am curious about this. Is it worth a second chance?
I did see there was a little DS9 on Twitter and that did make me happy.
I’m watching it with cautious optimism. PIC S1 dropped the ball early on and, Nepenthe excluded, never recovered. I wasn’t planning on watching S2, but I saw some early praise and it holds up. I’d give it a try if you’re a fan of Picard-centric episodes of TNG (or Seven/Borg episodes of VOY, since she’s a central part of S2 so far).
Just watched episode two and loved it. Agnes remains an absolute favourite. Though I was heartbroken about Laris in this one.
I’m just very nervous for my girl Agnes and her safety with the queen. I also have a theory that the Borg Queen from ep 2 genuinely wanted an alliance and Picard destroying her/the ships is what Q is punishing.
Just a nice full circle then from him introducing them to us as enemies in TNG to introducing allies here. Probably very far off the mark but it’s my working theory.
Would be amazing to me if the watcher was Sisko thanks to his being with the Prophets and time being skewed there but also not actually expecting it. Feel it would be Treks best kept secret if Avery returned.
All of us Niners would go CRAZY. I like Star Trek in general but DS9 is by far my favorite, so I would LOVE to see someone from the show pop up. I feel like they keep teasing us but not coming through. (All the mentions of "Deep Space 5" last season, the skulls and the Sisko reference in the most recent episode)
As I’ve gotten older my love for DS9 has massively grown so it would be ace to have someone show up. I think logically Sisko would work with them going back to when they are, but who knows! I feel it would be more likely someone like Guinan, but I’d love to be shocked by who it actually is.
It’s a preview clip from the third episode, so it’s a given that you’ll be spoiled if you haven’t seen the first two yet. But if it helps, there’s a lot of context left out so it’s still worth catching up now if you want to understand what’s going on.

I really like Wil Wheaton but his game show host energy feels very forced, he needs to relax a little and be himself.
