Jamie struggles with his first request as Indian Agent. Roger presides over an unusual funeral. Marsali gives birth. However, the joy is short lived when a discovery is made.
not that these storylines ever made sense but why is Fergus suddenly an alcoholic leaving bruises on Marsali? Like what? Also I cringe so hard at the sex scenes...i know like 90% of the fanbase watches for the softcore porn but it makes me recoil
Fergus couldn't have protected Marsali from the assault, which really fucks with his head and identity as a man. He can't do as much physical labor, he can't fight in a battle, and he is unable to live up to the expectations of a husband in the late 18th century, so he begins drinking a lot because he's ashamed. If I recall correctly, the book indicates that he grabbed her arm in an effort to stop her from assaulting him out of frustration, but it's been a while since I've read it.
I'm not a prude in the least but the sex on Outlander makes me cringe. It's sooooo cheesy. It doesn't further the plot or anything. I mean, I'm good with older folks getting their O's but these scenes just feel thrown in there and very 80's Harlequin romance novel blech....
I said the same about GOT and I know they're going for the female base and all but I don't want to watch anyone on Outlander have sex. The worst was the daughter and the dude she married. I don't even remember their character names.
